Friday FreeBees
On March 22nd school is out for all Bees. It’s teacher conferences and that means an extra day off and out of the normal routine. What’s there to do?
Why not have your high school age student get their community service hours by participating in the Brecksville and Broadview Heights Chambers of Commerce Business Open House Day, now known as FreeBees.
Why FreeBees you ask? Well for a couple reasons. Students are Free from school on the designated FreeBees days and the local businesses with the help of select student volunteers distribute Free merchandise to visitors at their place of business from 1-4 PM while supplies last. Students can sign up to participate at TownPlanner.com by going to either Brecksville or Broadview Heights pages. Look for your fighting Bees to register.
Interested local businesses may participate by registering at TownPlanner.com or by contacting either the Brecksville or Broadview Heights Chambers of Commerce at chamber@brecksvillechamber.com.
It’s a great way for students to start building their network and maybe even gain some social confidence and potential summer employment or intern contacts. It’s also a great way for local businesses to showcase their businesses with many of the local Bees families as they take the FreeBee tour!
Maps will be provided of all the great offerings along way — pick up yours at participating FreeBees businesses or download from TownPlanner.com. Retail and service businesses can register at TownPlanner.comor by emailing the chamber at chamber@brecksvillechamber.com.
